REUSABLE HEART WREATH DIY
This lovely heart shaped wreath is made from a wire heart wreath base, some grape vines painted with chalk paint and decorated with greenery and small hanging vases filled with fresh flowers that you can switch out seasonally, depending on what you have on hand.
I used small leafed eucalyptus, dried purple statice flowers and pink and light pink carnations. The eucalyptus pairs very nicely with the pink and purple shades of flowers and will dry nicely on the wreath.
The wreath is easy to make, and its base is reusable for years to come. The fresh flowers give it a cute and colourful accent, and you can get creative arranging them differently over and over again. Follow your creative instincts and have fun making this heart wreath DIY project to brighten up your space and make it feel like almost spring!
This heart shaped wreath looks beautiful in a window or on a door or wall and makes an adorable gift for Valentine’s or Mother’s Day.
TIPS TO MAKE THE PERFECT REUSABLE
HEART WREATH DIY
If you don’t have a premade heart-shaped wire wreath, you can either use some thick wire or a metal coat hanger instead to make your wreath by bending it into a heart shape with some pliers.
The same applies to the hanging mini vases. You can easily use small bottles (like mini juice bottles) or jars instead and make this wreath with reused objects and budget-friendly.
Gather everything you will need in advance to avoid interrupting your creative flow.
Cover your work surface with some old newspaper or an arts and crafts mat in case it gets a bit messy.
Make sure to step back and take a look at the big picture during your wreath making, since it is easy to get lost in small details. That way you can ensure your wreath is nice and balanced and has the desired volume.
You can always refine your wreath at the end by tucking in some more materials or cutting smaller details later.
Trust your creativity and follow your creative instincts. Enjoy the creative process just as much as the end result and let go of any fixed ideas. Be open to incorporating new materials or some you might already have and play around with different colors and textures.
